Sometimes in life, we get caught up in ourselves.
We find ourselves in places where we are no longer at peace.
Days can feel like a struggle.
Parts of our lives, our relationships may feel strained.
What might we need? Perspective.
Perspective means looking closely at what is really going on.
At ourselves.
At how we are showing up.
It invites us to inspect ourselves from different angles.
To notice the lens through which we see ourselves.
Is it a critical lens?
Your default lens?
A tired lens?
A lens shaped by the past?
Or one rooted in the present right here, right now?
As I sat by this glass one day, looking out at the beautiful sea, I suddenly caught the view from a different angle. And there it was. A most beautiful tree, revealed through the glass.
Sometimes it doesn’t take much to see our situation – or ourselves — differently.
Often it does require work.
And the willingness to open up to something we may not have been open to for a long time.
What part of your life needs to be looked at right now? And might benefit looking at it from a different perspective?
Perspectives is a core part of the work I do with people in coaching. We explore your view of your life, and in time there are always beautiful «trees» that reveal themselves to you. Fresh perspectives.
That you then use to change your life.
